Othonoi
Othonoi or Fanò is the largest of the Diapontie Islands. Located north-west of Corfu, it is characterized by wild landscapes, towering cliffs and remote beaches. The island is known for its lighthouse and its pristine atmosphere. Othonoi offers golden sandy beaches and crystal clear waters. The beaches are often uncrowded, giving visitors a quieter and more secluded experience. Othonoi is famous for its tranquility and seclusion. The lack of tourism development and limited visitor flows offer an authentic experience and opportunity for those seeking an escape from the hustle and bustle of busier tourist destinations.
Aspri Ammos Beach, known as Calypso Bay, is one of the best known. This is the most fascinating cove in Othonì. You can only get there by boat. The beach is made up of millions of white pebbles that create a crystalline seabed, with emerald green water. The legend according to which the nymph Calypso held Ulysses prisoner for 7 years is linked to the cove.
Taking a bath in this cove reconciles you with the world!
