Corfu, also known as Kerkyra in Greek, is a Greek island located in the Ionian Sea, northwest of mainland Greece. The main city of the island is Corfu (or Kerkyra), which is also the capital of the region of the same name. The city is a fascinating mix of Venetian, French, British and Greek architecture, reflecting historical influences on the region. The island offers a variety of beaches with golden sand or pebbles and crystal clear waters. Some of the most famous beaches include Paleokastritsa, Glyfada and Sidari with the famous "Love Channel".
Corfu is dotted with numerous fortresses, including the Old Fortress, the New Fortress and the Angelokastro, which offer spectacular views of the island and the surrounding sea.
Mourtos
Mourtos or Sivota is a small port town located in the northwestern region of Greece, in the region of Thesprotia. The area offers several beaches, some with sand, others with pebbles, characterized by crystal clear waters. Some nearby beaches include Mega Ammos, Zavia, and Agia Paraskevi.
Sivota is known for its picturesque harbor which is often crowded with boats and yachts, especially during the summer tourist season. The area around Sivota is characterized by small islets, making the seascape even more picturesque.
